With 16 years of professional experience, Bridget M. West specializes in working with at risk youth and their families. In her position with Taranaki Young People's Trust, she is responsible for counseling young people, organizing grief and crisis intervention programs, evaluating family functions and self-esteem, and providing education programs. Established in 1993, Taranaki Young People's Trust provides critical counseling as well as support and direction for young people and their families. Ms. West believes that her own success is measured by the success of her clients, and considers having the ability to make a positive impact on the lives of others to be the most gratifying aspect of her career.

Ms. West holds industry-related certifications and is now pursuing a diploma in counseling since completing her social work diploma in 2008. She was recognized as the Professional of the Year in Youth and Social Services in 2006 and 2008 by Cambridge Who's Who.
