Dr. Charn J. Burton celebrates 15 years in spiritual counseling
PROVO, UT, June 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Charn J. Burton, Founder and Chaplain for Chocolat Spiritual Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of spiritual services.
Dr. Burton has 15 years of professional experience in spiritual counseling. She became involved in her profession because she always wanted to help people in their life's struggle. The past 7 years, her focus has been specific to grief and bereavement counseling to suicide survivors and facilitating suicide prevention programs. Her specialty shifted after the loss of her son to suicide. She attributes her success to her passion in educating others with the theme; "Suicide is Not an Option, and Neither is Silence."
A Certified Reiki Master and Hypnotherapist, Dr. Burton received her Ph.D. in Metaphysics in 1998 from the University of Metaphysics. She was recently ratified nationally as a Clinical Chaplain through the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. She is the chair for survivors for HOPE (Hold on, Persuade, and Empower) Suicide Task Force of Utah and is the founder of the Heart and Soul Suicide Support Group. Dr. Burton is also the Chaplain for Canary Gardens, a bereavement group for families who have lost an immediate family member to any type of death.
