Catherine Gruener Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Catherine Gruener is the recipient of a Master of Arts in neuropsychology

ELMHURST, IL, December 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Catherine Zaweski Gruener, Research Intern at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in psychological research.

Hardworking and passionate, Ms. Gruener has dedicated her career to helping those with psychosocial issues. She was inspired to enter her field after seeing through the post-recovery process of her friend's comatose brother. Now with 15 years of experience in the medical field, Ms. Gruener works as a research intern at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital. She is responsible for traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder research paradigms.

Ms. Gruener completed a Master of Arts in neuropsychology at the University of Northern Colorado in 1995. While at the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and Loyola University Medical Center, she counseled children and families, and conducted tests for those with neuropsychological disorders. Through her desire to balance research with the prospective counseling of children, families and the gifted community, she is in pursuit of a Master of Arts in counseling at the Adler School of Professional Psychology.

An associate member of the American Psychological Association since 1996, Ms. Gruener maintains affiliation with the American Counseling Association, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the National Association of Gifted Children and the Illinois Association of Gifted Children.
