Margie Shepherd has 20 years of overall professional experience. She truly came out of nowhere. She climbed the corporate ladder in the weight loss industry and taught the meaning of appearance, self-empowerment, and above all, self-confidence to others.

Ms. Shepherd established a special financial package for Ohio and Kentucky law enforcement officers and their families to encourage weight loss, and reinforce the importance of their commitment to dedication, self-empowerment, and above all, self-confidence. As a result, achievement was made within all the law enforcement agencies involved.

Ms. Shepherd is a three-time recipient of the Kentucky Colonel Award, the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky; she received each of the awards from three different Governors. Ms. Shepherd was further recognized with the Underwater Search and Rescue Award by the Hamilton County Police Association, and was honored by the law enforcement group as a lifetime honorary member.

What began as the fairy tale toad of all regions, under Ms. Shepherd's management, the region became a prince within one year. Ms. Shepherd not only built one of the most profitable regions, she opened up 25,000 jobs within 5 midwestern states. Ms. Shepherd and her team of sales managers won multiple awards from the Nutri/System corporate office in Philadelphia and KMC, the largest Nutri/System franchise owner. She then retired.

Eighteen years later, Ms. Shepherd decided to step back into the center ring, building two companies and a charitable foundation, when suddenly she became a victim of corporate America as featured in Ms. Shepherd's new book "Travesty!" It is inspired by a true story -- the book is a work of non-fiction!
