Catholic Bishop Ascends To The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Bishop Robert J. Shaheen PhD to the ranks of premier professionals as a result of his remarkable work in religion.

ST. LOUIS, MO, July 16, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Bishop Robert J. Shaheen PhD to the ranks of premier professionals as a result of his remarkable work in religion. As Bishop of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Diocese of St. Louis for the past 8 years, Robert has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and devotion necessary to be considered among the best.

The Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Diocese has 44 churches in 32 states. The diocese was originally established in 1994. The Maronite liturgy is one of the oldest in the Catholic Church. St. Peter and other Apostles brought the liturgy of the Last Super to Antioch where it developed in Greek and Syriac concurrently. The early Antioch liturgy is the basis of the Maronite liturgy.

Bishop Shaheen is responsible for church management and leadership. He was consecrated and enthroned on February 16, 2002. Robert is only their second bishop and he resides in St. Louis, Missouri in the new and beautiful chancery on the grounds of St. Raymond's Cathedral. During his educational career, Bishop Shaheen earned a PhD in Humanities from St. Louis University.
