As Director of Vertical Aspirations, as well as throughout his incredible 18 years in the business, Anthony has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Anthony is a Senior Training and Development Officer for Mind Australia, Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Melbourne, Senior Advisor to the Victoria Police on their Mental Health Strategy Plan Peace of Mind, Educator on Mental Health to the students at Xavier College, Peer Consultant to Inner East Mental Health Services Association Inc., Peer Consultant to SHARC Drug Rehabilitation Program, and a Peer Educator to various community groups.

Mr. Stratford learned the process of mental health recovery through his own experiences. At age 27, he was committed to Royal Park Hospital, and diagnosed with a bipolar condition. The consultant psychiatrist pronounced a standard sentence on him to live in public housing for the rest of his life. Not satisfied with this assessment, Anthony set out to reset his boundaries and rebuild his life. Slowly but surely, he became a member of the community again. Within 12 years, he was heading up a US multinational in Australia and parts of Asia. This is when he decided he wanted to make a difference in the lives of others through moving into the welfare sector.

Vertical Aspirations was a natural evolution from the process that Anthony successfully completed. He now works as a Recovery Coach who has over 25 years of lived experience. Mr. Stratford also provides a lot of Recovery education to various professional bodies and schools. During his collegiate career, Anthony earned a Bachelor's degree in Theology. He is a member of the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership.
