Kimberly Poteat Joins The Stanford Who's Who Family
Kimberly Poteat has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her exceptional effort in the community.

CANDLER, NC, April 22, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Kimberly Poteat has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her exceptional effort in the community. As Founder, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Home of New Beginnings WNC Inc., as well as throughout her 20 plus years of service, Kimberly has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

Home of New Beginnings WNC Inc. is a ministry for at risk teens and their families. They provide a safe haven for teenagers who have experienced physical, emotional and sexual abuse while focusing on family reconciliation and restoration where possible through education, Biblical counseling, and spiritual guidance in the will and love of Jesus Christ with the long term goal of each individual being stable, productive adults giving back to society.

Kimberly began her journey as a mother seeking help for as teenager who was lost, hanging out with the wrong people and making wrong decisions. After unsuccessfully seeking help through the internet, word of mouth and everywhere else conceivable, she finally found the comfort and guidance of Jesus Christ.

Through the love of Jesus was born a desire to create a place where families can go for help with their children and teens even if they do not have the monetary means. Kimberly's new beginning with Christ ultimately led her and her husband to the establishment of the Home of New Beginnings WNC.

During her collegiate career, Kimberly earned an Associate's degree in Religious Education from Covington Theological Seminary and she is currently working on her Bachelor's degree in Ministry while also working on an Advanced Diploma in Biblical Counseling. She plans on continuing until she earns a Master's degree and Doctorate in Theology.
